Hungary will host MotoGP for the first time since 1992 at the newly upgraded Balaton Park Circuit from August 22-24, 2025. The circuit, located near Lake Balaton, will also host a World Superbike Championship event in July of the same year. Former Hungarian MotoGP rider Gabor Talmacsi and ex-F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella have praised the track's design and potential impact. Extensive upgrades are underway to meet FIM's Grade A requirements, including new corners and a chicane to improve safety and overtaking opportunities. Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta expressed excitement about the return to Hungary, highlighting the circuit's spectacular location and the boost it will give to local motorsport. This marks a significant milestone for Hungarian motorsport, fulfilling a long-held ambition to bring premier class racing back to the country.
