Afghanistan made history by securing their first-ever ODI series win against a top-five ICC ranked team, South Africa, with a 177-run victory in the second match at Sharjah. Rahmanullah Gurbaz's 105 and Azmatullah Omarzai's unbeaten 86 led Afghanistan to a formidable total of 311-4. Rashid Khan celebrated his 26th birthday by taking 5-19, while Nangeyalia Kharote added 4-26, bowling out South Africa for 134. This win follows Afghanistan's six-wicket triumph in the first ODI, marked by Fazalhaq Farooqi's 4-35. Afghanistan will aim for a series sweep in the final match on Sunday.
