Chris Dobey Wins Third Players Championship Title

Chris Dobey has claimed his third Players Championship title of the year by defeating Stephen Bunting 8-3 in the final of Players Championship 25 held in Wigan. The 34-year-old Englishman showcased his strong form throughout the tournament, first overcoming Luke Littler 6-5 in the quarter-finals, and then decisively beating Daryl Gurney 7-1 in the semi-finals. This victory solidifies his position as the top seed heading into the Players Championship Finals in November. Dobey emphasized the importance of confidence, stating that being at the top of the standings has motivated him to perform at a high level consistently. Bunting, who previously lost to Wessel Nijman in the Players Championship 24 final, will have to settle for the runner-up position once again. Dobey is set to face Joe Cullen in the first round of the upcoming World Grand Prix.
