Knicks Advance, Celtics Eliminated from NBA Cup

The Boston Celtics have been eliminated from the 2024 NBA Cup after a point-differential tiebreaker loss to the Orlando Magic. The Celtics needed the New York Knicks to win by at least 37 points against the Magic to secure a wild-card spot but fell short as the Knicks won 121-106. This result allowed the Knicks to advance with a perfect 4-0 record in Group A, while the Magic progressed as a wild card due to their superior point differential. The Milwaukee Bucks, who defeated the Detroit Pistons, also moved on, leaving the Celtics with two additional games scheduled in December. The Celtics aim to improve their record when they host the Pistons on December 4. The NBA Cup knockout rounds will begin on December 10 without the Celtics.
