Gaudreau Widows Launch Foundation for Youth Hockey, Victims' Families

The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation has been established by the widows of former NHL players Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau to honor their legacies and support youth hockey initiatives. The foundation aims to provide assistance to hockey families facing hardships and to help those affected by impaired driving, reflecting the brothers' passions and values. Johnny and Matthew were tragically killed in a drunk driving incident while cycling in New Jersey on August 29, 2024. Their widows, Meredith and Madeline Gaudreau, serve as co-presidents and have expressed their commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive community through the foundation's work. They are also organizing events and auctions to raise funds, including collaborations with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Donations can be made to support the foundation's mission to uplift communities and promote youth hockey accessibility.
