Cal Football Creates Raiders' 'Black Bear' Section at Memorial Stadium

The California Golden Bears football team has introduced a new fan section called "The Black Bear" at California Memorial Stadium for the 2025 season, designed to welcome members of the Las Vegas Raiders' longtime fan group, The Black Hole. This section, located in the south end zone, requires fans to purchase tickets through a dedicated link on Cal's website, and it includes a pregame tailgating tent in Oski's Village, offering a space that Raiders fans in the Bay Area can call their own. Cal's general manager, Ron Rivera, emphasized the initiative as a way to engage East Bay fans who lost their local NFL team when the Raiders relocated to Las Vegas, aiming to grow the Bears' fan base by embracing the passion and devotion of Raiders supporters. The Black Hole fan group, founded in 1995 and previously based in Oakland and later Las Vegas, is excited to bring its energy to Berkeley and support Cal football. This move coincides with a strong start to Cal's season, including a road win over Oregon State and an upcoming home game against Texas Southern, where The Black Bear section will make its debut.
