Ukraine Deploys AI-Powered Vector, Pavuk Dopkhina Drones With Deep-Strike, Acoustic Detection

Ukraine has significantly enhanced its drone capabilities with the introduction of advanced AI-powered systems from both domestic and international partners. The 3rd Assault Brigade and Omnitech developed the 'Pavuk Dopkhina' drone, equipped with AI algorithms that enable autonomous mapping and targeting over distances exceeding 50 kilometers, primarily supporting deep-strike UAV communication and targeting critical enemy assets. Concurrently, German manufacturer Quantum Systems supplied Ukraine with the Vector AI drone, integrated with the WASP acoustic sensor developed by its Polish subsidiary Weles Acoustics, capable of detecting artillery fire up to 15 kilometers away and small arms fire within 2.5 kilometers. This cutting-edge acoustic detection system allows Ukrainian forces to rapidly locate and respond to enemy artillery attacks with an accuracy of about 5 degrees at 5 kilometers. The Vector AI drone and its acoustic sensor are undergoing trials and active combat missions, with ongoing software improvements and plans to integrate these sensors across Quantum Systems' product line, including the Twister drone. These innovations, alongside successful robotic ground missions, are contributing to Ukraine’s enhanced operational effectiveness against Russian forces.
