Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been banned from being a charity trustee in England and Wales for five years following a Charity Commission inquiry into her organization, Fashion for Relief. The investigation uncovered serious financial mismanagement, revealing that only 8.5% of the charity's expenditures from 2016 to 2022 went towards charitable grants. Funds were instead used for personal expenses, including Campbell's stay at a five-star hotel in Cannes, spa treatments, room service, and cigarettes. Campbell, who founded the charity in 2005, claims she was not in control of the finances, having delegated that responsibility to a lawyer. The Charity Commission has recovered £344,000 and protected an additional £98,000 of charitable funds. Fellow trustees Bianka Hellmich and Veronica Chou have also been disqualified for nine and four years, respectively.
