Punjab Police Arrest Over 15,000 Drug Smugglers In Statewide Crackdown

Punjab has launched an extensive and multifaceted anti-drug campaign, 'Yudh Nashean De Virudh,' leading to the arrest of over 15,000 drug smugglers and registration of thousands of FIRs in a few months. Punjab Police have conducted large-scale raids across numerous districts, seizing significant quantities of heroin and drug money, reflecting a zero-tolerance approach supported by intelligence and technology. Similar anti-drug operations have been carried out in Chandigarh, resulting in 132 arrests and heroin seizures, while international cooperation led to the arrest of over 40 narco-boat smugglers trafficking cocaine into the EU.
