The 46th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon is set to take place on Sunday with over 50,000 runners traversing 29 neighborhoods across the city. The race will begin shortly after 7 a.m. in Grant Park, where spectators can access starting at 9:30 a.m., and live coverage will be provided by NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo until 3 p.m. Last year's marathon saw a world record set by Kelvin Kiptum, who unfortunately passed away in a car crash earlier this year. Participants have been training hard, with many running to support various charities, which collectively raised over $30 million last year. The event is expected to significantly boost Chicago's economy, similar to last year's $547 million impact. Street closures will be in effect throughout the city to accommodate the marathon.
