Spotify Expands Audiobooks+ Access for Premium Plans

Spotify has launched its Audiobooks+ add-on in the U.S., allowing Premium subscribers—including those on Family and Duo plans—to gain an extra 15 hours of audiobook listening each month for $11.99. Previously, only the primary account holder could access audiobook hours, but now additional Family and Duo plan members can request access from the plan manager to enjoy this benefit. Subscribers also have the option to purchase a one-time 10-hour top-up if they use up their monthly hours. This U.S. rollout follows earlier launches in markets such as the UK, Australia, and several European countries. The move comes as Spotify continues to grow its active and paid user base despite recent financial challenges. The Audiobooks+ plan is designed to offer more flexibility and value for audiobook enthusiasts within households.
