IndiGo Outage Disrupts Flights Across India

IndiGo Airlines experienced a widespread system slowdown on a peak travel weekend, impacting over 2,000 daily flights and causing significant delays at airports across India. The technical glitch, which began around 11:30 am, affected the airline's website, booking systems, and check-in processes, resulting in long queues and manual issuance of boarding passes. Major airports like Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad reported delays, with some flights canceled due to cascading effects. Despite the airline's efforts to assist passengers and restore operations, the disruption led to extensive passenger frustration, with many taking to social media to voice their grievances. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has requested a detailed report on the incident. While IndiGo has resolved the system issues by evening, the backlog from the outages has continued to affect flight schedules.
