Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Raises $1.75 Million
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train raised over $1.75 million and collected more than 130,000 pounds of food for local food banks during its 2024 four-week tour across North America. Since its inception in 1999, the Holiday Train has contributed over $26.1 million and 5.4 million pounds of food, highlighting its significant role in combating food insecurity. This year marked its first-ever stop in Atlantic Canada, and the tour featured 166 live music performances, engaging communities in both Canada and the U.S. Additionally, the CPKC Holiday Express raised $108,000 for food banks after visiting 13 communities in the southern U.S. The program also extended its festive spirit to Mexico with the Tren Navideño, reaching nine communities. CPKC's CEO Keith Creel praised the enthusiasm and generosity shown by participants, emphasizing the importance of community support during the holiday season.
