Apple TV+ App Launches on Android Devices

Apple has officially launched an Apple TV+ app for Android devices, allowing users to stream popular shows like Ted Lasso and Severance directly from their smartphones and tablets. Previously, Android users could only access Apple TV+ content through the web or on Google TV, making this launch a significant enhancement for mobile viewing. The app, which is available on the Google Play Store, includes features such as a Watchlist and Continue Watching, and supports subscription purchases directly through the app. Users can enjoy a seven-day free trial upon installation, with subscription options for Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass integrated into the app. Although the app provides extensive access to Apple TV+ content, it does not allow users to stream movies or shows purchased through iTunes. The app is compatible with devices running Android 10 or later, marking a notable expansion of Apple's services to a wider audience.
