Car Fire Explosion Kills One, Injures Two Firefighters in Lebanon, Oregon

A deadly fire involving three vehicles occurred on the 700 block of West Grant Street in Lebanon, Oregon, resulting in the death of a person who was living in one of the cars. Firefighters responded around 9:20 a.m. and found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames near a house, which they successfully protected from catching fire despite an explosion that scattered debris into nearby yards and streets. The remains of the deceased were discovered during the firefighting efforts, and the identity of the victim has not been released. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries from the explosion and were treated at a local hospital. The fire was brought under control within about 20 minutes, and the cause remains under investigation by the Lebanon Fire Investigation Team and local law enforcement.
