Three Charged in Multiple Columbus Shootings, Victims Hospitalized

Several shooting incidents have recently occurred in Columbus, Ohio, involving multiple suspects and victims. In south Columbus, 22-year-old Ethan Hooks was charged with murder following a deadly April shooting during an attempted robbery, in which both Hooks and the victim, Demonte Giles, reportedly shot each other. In another case, 33-year-old Craig Cooke was arrested for felonious assault after shooting a man in the leg near Hart Road; the victim was hospitalized in stable condition. Additionally, a man was shot in the torso on West Broad Street during an attempted theft of a watch, with the victim expected to recover. Separately, in Columbus, Mississippi, Patrion Barrett was arrested for a February shooting involving domestic violence and aggravated assault when he fired several shots into his girlfriend's apartment. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about gun violence and public safety in multiple Columbus communities.
