India Tests Advanced Drone-Launched Precision Missile

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully conducted flight trials of its third-generation UAV-Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM-V3) at the National Open Area Range in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The missile features advanced technologies such as a high-definition dual-channel seeker for precise targeting, a secure two-way data link enabling mid-course corrections, and modular warhead options for diverse battlefield requirements. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the accomplishment, highlighting the involvement of private industry, over 30 start-ups, and MSMEs in the project. The test represents a major step in India's pursuit of strategic self-reliance and the indigenous development of advanced military systems. This achievement also supports India's expanding investment in drone and counter-drone technologies. The successful trial underscores the importance of leveraging private sector innovation and technological advancement for national security.
