Alba, Allende Lead Inter Miami 4-1 Win
Inter Miami defeated the New England Revolution 4-1 at Chase Stadium, with Jordi Alba and Tadeo Allende each scoring twice and Lionel Messi providing three assists. Messi’s three assists brought him to 24 goals and 17 assists (41 goal contributions) on the season, making him only the second player in MLS history to record 40+ goal contributions in a single campaign, with two regular-season games remaining to chase Carlos Vela’s record. The victory snapped Miami’s two-match winless run and boosted confidence heading into the playoffs. However, a 5-3 loss to Chicago and Philadelphia Union’s 1-0 win over NYCFC meant Miami missed the chance to retain the Supporters’ Shield. New England’s Dor Turgeman scored the Revolution’s lone goal; the club has struggled recently and will travel to face Miami in their final road game.
