My Morning Jacket has announced their tenth studio album titled 'Is', set to release on March 21 through ATO Records. The album, which marks a departure from their typical self-production, was largely recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Grammy-winning Brendan O’Brien. Frontman Jim James shared insights on the creative process, emphasizing that the album's title reflects a sense of presence and connection to something larger than human experience. The lead single, 'Time Waited', features a meditative piano loop and explores themes of the flexibility of time, inspired by a dream James had. The band has released a music video for the single, directed by Danny Clinch, which combines performance footage with archival images. The album will include ten tracks, showcasing a blend of musicality and emotional depth.
