Bucharest National Opera House Upgrades Audio System

The Bucharest National Opera House has upgraded its audio system to enhance performances while preserving its historic interiors. The venue, which previously relied on rented sound systems, now features a permanent K-array solution for superior sound quality and a discreet design that maintains the opera house's grandeur. The main PA setup includes multiple Kayman KY102X loudspeakers, ensuring even sound distribution, while bass is provided by ceiling-mounted subwoofers. In addition, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra recently performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing as part of the China Orchestra Festival, featuring works by Arvo Pärt and Sergei Prokofiev, conducted by Paavo Järvi. The concert emphasized simplicity and showcased the talents of violinist Bomsori Kim, highlighting rarely performed pieces. This reflects a broader trend in global opera and orchestral performances, where modern interpretations coexist with classical traditions, as seen in vibrant cultural scenes like Berlin's.
