FBI Agent Eduardo Valdivia Charged with Rape

Eduardo Valdivia, a 40-year-old FBI agent from Gaithersburg, Maryland, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, including two counts of second-degree rape. The allegations involve two women who claim they were assaulted in a tattoo studio operated by Valdivia under an alias. He was previously acquitted of attempted murder for an off-duty shooting incident on a Metro train in 2020, and has since been suspended by the FBI pending the outcome of the investigation. Valdivia's defense attorney stated they do not accept the allegations until all evidence is reviewed. Authorities suspect there may be additional victims and are encouraging them to come forward. Valdivia's court hearing for bond is scheduled for Tuesday.
