Five men have been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of 19 petrol bombs from a car in the Carbury area of Co Kildare. The operation took place around 11:30pm on Monday as part of ongoing investigations into organized criminal activity. Four men were arrested at the scene, while a fifth man, who confronted the officers armed with a knife, was also apprehended and subsequently charged. All arrested individuals are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. The arrested individuals appeared before Naas District Court on Tuesday morning. Investigations are still ongoing, with further updates anticipated.
