38 Arrested in Northeast Wisconsin Drug Ring Linked to Mexican Cartels
A 14-month investigation by the Brown County Drug Task Force and multiple law enforcement agencies has led to 38 arrests connected to a large-scale drug trafficking operation tied to Mexican drug cartels in Northeast Wisconsin. On October 29, authorities executed 11 search warrants across Bellevue, Green Bay, Lawrence, and Neenah, resulting in 15 arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of cocaine and marijuana, 21 firearms, two vehicles, and over $28,000 in cash. Previous arrests during the investigation accounted for an additional 23 individuals and the confiscation of more drugs, firearms, and cash, bringing total seizures to approximately 3.2 kilograms of cocaine, 45 pounds of marijuana, 27 firearms, and $46,500 in currency. The investigation involved cooperation from numerous agencies, including the DEA, FBI, Wisconsin State Patrol, and various local police departments. Charges have been referred to district attorney offices in Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties, with suspects expected to appear in court soon. Officials indicated the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
