Spokane Woman Arrested for Stolen Rental Car

Mogan A. Jewell, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested in Spokane Valley for possession of a stolen Dodge Durango that she rented in Dallas, Texas, on October 21. Jewell initially intended to return the SUV after one day but claimed she became too busy and was unable to reach the rental company to extend her agreement. She acknowledged receiving a warning from the rental company that the vehicle would be reported stolen if not returned. Spokane County deputies located the vehicle after receiving an alert about its stolen status and detained Jewell on December 5. The rental company sought to press charges against Jewell for not complying with the rental terms. She was booked into the Spokane County Jail following her arrest.
