Minnesota Father Charged with Murder after Teen Son Found Decapitated in Landfill

Jordan Dupree Collins Sr. has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of his 16-year-old son, Jordan “Manny” Collins Jr., whose remains were found in an Elk River landfill after he went missing in May. Investigators discovered blood-stained items matching the teen's DNA, along with butcher and hunting knives, in Collins Sr.'s residence; a mattress and carpet had been cut, and blood was found on a bedroom wall. Surveillance footage showed the son's body being placed in a dumpster behind the father's residence, which was then emptied into a garbage truck leading to the landfill. The preliminary autopsy revealed that the boy was decapitated, and authorities ruled his death a homicide. Collins Sr. was arrested in July, arraigned with a bail set at $2 million, and remains held under conditions including surrendering his passport.
