Suspect in 2005 Connecticut Murder Arrested in Ohio
Mohammad Ali, a 38-year-old man, was arrested in Dublin, Ohio, for his alleged involvement in the 2005 murder of Mureed Hussain, a taxi driver in Connecticut. The arrest, executed by the U.S. Marshals and the Dublin Police, comes after a cold case investigation was reopened due to advancements in forensic technology and new leads. Hussain was found shot dead in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and the investigation had stalled for years until recent developments identified Ali as a suspect. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and accessory to murder and is currently held in Franklin County Jail awaiting extradition back to Connecticut. The Windsor Locks Police Chief expressed gratitude for the resolution of the case, which had left the victim's family without answers for two decades. Investigators are continuing to explore additional suspects linked to the case.
