Detroit Police Search Suspect After Vehicle Stolen With Child Inside

In Detroit, a white Ford Escape was stolen with a child still inside after a parent left the vehicle running while briefly stepping away. The suspect abandoned the child a block away before driving off in the stolen vehicle. The child was found unharmed and treated by Detroit EMS. Detroit Police continue to search for the suspect and strongly urge parents not to leave children unattended in vehicles to prevent such incidents. Deputy Chief Jacqueline Pritchett emphasized the importance of adults knowing where their children are at all times. Police have not released suspect details and are asking the public for any information to aid the investigation.
