Duran Duran Releases Halloween Re-Recording of 'Shadows on Your Side' with Original Guitar Parts

Duran Duran has released a new re-recording of “Shadows on Your Side,” a track originally from their 1983 platinum album Seven and the Ragged Tiger, inspired by keyboardist Nick Rhodes' description of “the madness and joy of Halloween.” This 2025 version features original guitar parts from Andy Taylor and incorporates a modern, Halloween-themed sonic direction blending house dance grooves with spooky synths. The band also offers fans their Halloween concert film, Secret Oktober, filmed at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas during their 2022 Halloween show, available for streaming until November 3rd. Alongside these releases, Duran Duran has announced a series of North American tour dates spanning late 2025 to early 2026, with performances scheduled across multiple West Coast cities including Thousand Palms, Las Vegas, San Diego, Phoenix, Anaheim, and Sacramento. The band continues to celebrate their extensive career, having sold over 100 million records worldwide and earning numerous lifetime achievement awards and honors including induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Their recent creative projects also include the 2023 album Danse Macabre and collaborations on new fragrances, with ongoing studio work alongside Nile Rodgers at Abbey Road Studios.
