Body of Missing Woman Found in Eagle Creek Reservoir Indianapolis

Emergency responders conducted an extensive search for a 22-year-old woman who went missing after diving from a sailboat into Eagle Creek Reservoir near Rick's Boatyard Cafe. The Indianapolis Fire Department, along with Pike Township and Wayne Township Fire Departments, initially searched the area using dive teams, sonar-equipped boats, and drones but were unable to locate the woman. The search was called off at 7:11 p.m. and handed over to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, which continued sonar operations and found the woman's body underwater around 10:18 p.m. The Marion County Coroner's Office will determine the cause of death and release her identity after notifying family members.
