Sam Neill Joins Cast of Upcoming MonsterVerse Film

Sam Neill has officially joined the cast of the next untitled film in Legendary's MonsterVerse, set for release on March 26, 2027. This new installment will feature both familiar and new human characters alongside iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they confront a world-ending threat. Neill's casting adds to a lineup that includes Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Dan Stevens, who is reprising his role as kaiju expert Trapper. The film will be directed by Grant Sputore, with a screenplay written by Dave Callaham. The MonsterVerse franchise, which began in 2014, has grossed over $2.5 billion globally and continues to expand with various media projects. Neill, known for his roles in the Jurassic Park franchise, has recently been recovering from health issues but remains active in his acting career.
