Alison Rose Joins Mishcon de Reya as Advisor

Former NatWest CEO Alison Rose has joined Mishcon de Reya as an advisor, focusing on the firm's diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. This role marks her second position since leaving NatWest after the controversial closure of Nigel Farage's accounts due to his political views. Rose resigned in July 2023 after admitting a serious error in judgment for discussing Farage's situation with the media, which led to a significant public backlash and her forfeiture of £7.6 million in pay. Despite the scandal, an internal review found no misconduct on her part. Mishcon de Reya expressed excitement over Rose's expertise, particularly in enhancing their DEI initiatives. Rose previously led the Rose Review, aimed at improving female entrepreneurship in the UK.
