Arizona State Falls to Texas in Peach Bowl

Arizona State University's football team concluded its season with a dramatic 39-31 double-overtime loss to Texas in the Peach Bowl, ending their campaign with an 11-3 record. The Sun Devils staged a remarkable comeback, overcoming a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell short after Texas scored first in the second overtime. Running back Cam Skattebo had a standout performance, earning the Peach Bowl Offensive MVP Award with 143 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and a touchdown pass. Despite the loss, ASU's season was highlighted by unexpected success, including winning the Big 12 championship after being projected to finish last. Looking ahead, much of the core team is expected to return for the 2025 season, and head coach Kenny Dillingham has received a five-year contract extension. The Sun Devils will kick off their next season on August 30 against Northern Arizona.
