Alyssa Naeher Retires from International Soccer

Alyssa Naeher, the esteemed goalkeeper for the United States Women's National Team (USWNT), has announced her retirement from international soccer after 15 years. Naeher, who is 36 and has 113 caps, will conclude her career following friendly matches against England and the Netherlands on November 30 and December 3, respectively. She played a pivotal role in the US team, securing World Cup victories in 2015 and 2019, and an Olympic gold medal in 2024. Naeher is the only goalkeeper in women's soccer history to achieve shutouts in both a World Cup final and an Olympic gold medal match.
