Ex-Dance School Worker Charged Over Hidden Cameras

Jourdyn Godoy, a 25-year-old former receptionist at the Hermosa School of Dance and Music in Hermosa Beach, was arrested after hidden cameras were discovered in both unisex bathrooms and changing rooms, concealed in wicker baskets. The cameras recorded children, parents, and staff at the studio, which serves students aged 2 to 18. Police, in collaboration with the studio's owners and the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, identified and arrested Godoy, who is being held on $100,000 bail. Godoy faces charges of felony possession of child pornography, child annoyance, and invasion of privacy. Prosecutors emphasize the serious breach of privacy and are seeking accountability. If convicted on all charges, Godoy could face up to four years in state prison.
