George Schenck, the acclaimed writer and showrunner of the long-running CBS series NCIS, has died at the age of 82 at his home in Brentwood, California. Schenck joined NCIS in its inaugural season in 2003 and played a significant role in shaping the show, becoming an executive producer and co-showrunner after the death of Gary Glasberg in 2016. Throughout his career, he collaborated with Frank Cardea and was credited with writing over 40 episodes of NCIS. Mark Harmon, the series' star, praised Schenck's professionalism and tenacity, stating that they changed the face of the show.
