Andrew Premo arrested after multi-county police chase in Wisconsin

A 35-year-old man from Chippewa Falls, Andrew Premo, was arrested following a high-speed police chase that began in Eau Claire and involved multiple law enforcement agencies. The pursuit was initiated after officers attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle displaying mismatched license plates, leading to a chase through neighborhoods and into the Village of Lake Hallie. After temporarily halting the vehicle using tire deflation devices and a PIT maneuver, Premo attempted to flee again but was ultimately boxed in and taken into custody after a brief standoff. A search of his vehicle revealed 41 grams of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and illegally obtained prescription medications. He is facing multiple charges, including fleeing an officer and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding drug-related crimes in the area.
