IDF Destroys Multiple Palestinian Homes Linked to Deadly West Bank Attacks
Israeli forces have conducted multiple demolitions and forced displacements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, targeting homes linked to Palestinians accused of involvement in terror attacks or alleged building without permits. In Bruqin, the IDF demolished the residence of Jamil Samarah, accused of aiding a deadly May shooting attack that killed a pregnant Israeli woman, Tzeela Gez, and her unborn child; this followed the earlier demolition of the gunman Naael Samarah's home. Additionally, Israeli forces demolished the home of Zuhair Samara in Bruqin, whose two sons are detained, and tore down stone walls in the village of Qusra, actions criticized as collective punishment and prohibited under international law. In Burin near Nablus, Israeli troops forcibly displaced two families and established a checkpoint, coinciding with an increase in settler violence. In East Jerusalem's Al-Tur neighborhood, a Palestinian resident was compelled to demolish his own 21-year-old home to avoid fines, a practice condemned by human rights organizations as coercive displacement aimed at erasing Palestinian presence and expanding illegal Israeli settlements. These actions reflect a broader Israeli policy of fragmenting Palestinian communities and consolidating control over occupied territories.
