Ed Sheeran Announces Three July Concerts at Ipswich's Portman Road

Ed Sheeran has announced three homecoming concerts at Portman Road, the stadium of Ipswich Town Football Club, on July 11, 12, and 13, marking his first UK headline shows since 2023. The gigs coincide with the upcoming release of his new album, 'Play,' set for September, and fans who pre-order the album will receive early access to ticket sales before the general release. Each night will feature different special guests, including Myles Smith, Tori Kelly, Busted, Dylan, James Blunt, and Maisie Peters. Sheeran, a lifelong Ipswich supporter and club sponsor, will donate £1 from every ticket sold to the Live Trust, a fund supporting people working in live and grassroots music. Promotional teasers for the events included pink symbols projected onto local landmarks, revealing the new album's logo. The shows build on Sheeran’s history of significant performances in Ipswich, including past sold-out gigs and his 2021 livestreamed concert at Portman Road.
