Anders Holch Povlsen, Scotland’s richest man and majority shareholder in Asos, has acquired the historic Dores Inn on the banks of Loch Ness, which will undergo extensive renovations over the next 18 to 24 months. The pub, a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, attracts up to 400 visitors daily during peak season, many hoping for a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster. Povlsen's company, WildLand, pledged to invest significantly in the property to ensure its long-term viability while committing to engage with the local community regarding potential issues during the renovation. The Dores Inn is expected to reopen in 2026/2027, and WildLand's CEO has emphasized collaboration with local stakeholders, including the renowned monster hunter Steve Feltham, whose activities will remain unaffected.
