Saint Etienne Announces Final Album International With Chemical Brothers Collaboration

British indie-pop trio Saint Etienne have announced their thirteenth and final album, International, set for release on September 5. The album features collaborations with notable artists including Tom Rowlands of the Chemical Brothers, Jez Williams of Doves, Vince Clarke, Nick Heyward, Janet Planet, Erol Alkan, and Paul Hartnoll. The lead single, "Glad," co-written and produced with Rowlands and featuring Williams on guitar, centers on appreciating everyday pleasures amid life's difficulties. The band emphasized that while they are not splitting up, they are concluding their new recording journey after 35 years together. International includes a farewell track titled "The Last Time" and will be available in various physical formats, with Saint Etienne planning live dates in 2026. Throughout their career, the group has been celebrated for their blend of indie-pop and club sounds, and they intend to end their recording era with this album.
