Planning Approval Granted for Wolverhampton Leisure Hub

Wolverhampton City Council has approved plans for a new leisure hub at the Mander Centre, spearheaded by Catella APAM and featuring Superbowl UK. The 17,000 sq ft venue, set to open in early 2025, will include 12 bowling lanes, a soft play area, interactive darts, a bar and diner, and a SEGA Prize Zone arcade. This development aims to rejuvenate vacant retail space, create 30 new jobs, and enhance the local economy by increasing foot traffic and leisure options for residents and visitors. Councillor Chris Burden emphasized that the project aligns with the council's broader vision for a vibrant city center and is part of ongoing regeneration efforts. Approximately £500,000 will be invested in retrofitting the space, with hopes that this venture will attract further investment in the area. The initiative is seen as a crucial step in revitalizing the Mander Centre and supporting local businesses.
