Paul Simon Hopes for Full Concert Return

Paul Simon, the legendary musician, has expressed optimism about returning to full-length concerts after struggling with hearing loss in his left ear, which began during the recording of his 2023 album, 'Seven Psalms'. In a recent interview, Simon stated, 'I'm hoping to eventually be able to do a full-length concert. I'm optimistic. Six months ago I was pessimistic.' Despite announcing his retirement from touring in 2018, he made a brief return to the stage in September, performing an acoustic set at a charity event in New York City. Simon described the experience of hearing loss as 'scary' and 'frustrating', but he is adapting and exploring new ways to perform. While he has faced difficulties in rehearsals with his band, his recent performance has reignited hope for both him and his fans regarding future concerts.
