Community Initiative Aims to Improve Latino Health

In Milwaukee, the Lideres por la Salud program encourages Latino seniors to adopt healthier lifestyles through group activities aimed at combating obesity-related health issues. Simultaneously, the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Billings raised over $89,000 towards its goal of $137,000, with participants sharing personal connections to the disease. Denver is also preparing for its Walk to End Alzheimer's, aiming to raise $1.2 million to fund essential services and research for the nearly 91,000 Coloradans affected by the disease. These walks highlight the significant impact of Alzheimer's, which affects over 7 million Americans and has no prevention or cure. Collectively, these community efforts emphasize the importance of support, awareness, and health within vulnerable populations.
