Texas Youth Leader Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Charles Goff, a 24-year-old youth leader at Beltway Park Church in Abilene, Texas, has been arrested on charges of possessing child pornography after confessing to a fellow church member about his struggles with soliciting explicit images from underage girls. He admitted to soliciting nude photos from girls aged 14 to 15 via social media and was found with three pornographic videos on his phone. Goff had volunteered at the church for three years and had passed two background checks during that time, but the church stated there is currently no evidence that any minors from their congregation were victimized. He has been charged with third-degree felony possession of child sexual abuse images and is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail.
