Sinner Wins Paris Masters, Temporarily No. 1

Jannik Sinner defeated Félix Auger‑Aliassime 6-4, 7-6(4) to win the Paris Masters on Nov. 2, claiming his fifth title of 2025 and doing so without dropping a set. The victory extended his indoor hard‑court winning streak to 26 matches and temporarily returned him to ATP world No. 1. Carlos Alcaraz is set to reclaim the top spot next week once last year’s ATP Finals points are dropped, and the season‑ending ATP Finals in Turin (Nov. 9–16) will ultimately decide the year‑end No. 1 with several scenarios favoring Alcaraz. Auger‑Aliassime’s runner‑up finish denied him a first Masters title and left him short of an automatic ATP Finals berth. Ranking tweaks after Paris left Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Novak Djokovic at Nos. 3–5 and produced career‑high rankings for João Fonseca and Alexander Bublik.
