International Conferences on Sustainable Technologies, Community Welfare Set

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysuru is set to host the International Conference & Conclave on Sustainable Technologies (ICST) on February 19-20, 2025, in collaboration with Fachhochschule Dortmund and The Institution of Engineers-India. The conference will feature 100 research papers on various sustainable technology topics, including sustainable energy systems and green building technologies. This event reflects a growing global trend toward sustainable practices, as recent data shows that 75% of tourists wish to travel sustainably, demonstrating an increasing consumer prioritization of environmental concerns in tourism. The hospitality sector is responding by seeking sustainability certifications, although the proliferation of these certifications poses a challenge for hotel owners in identifying valuable ones. Overall, both events highlight a significant shift towards sustainability in various sectors, emphasizing collaborative efforts to address pressing environmental challenges.
