Standard Chartered has partnered with Wise Platform to enhance its SC Remit service, streamlining international payments for customers in Asia and the Middle East. This collaboration allows for quick transfers in 21 currencies, including USD, EUR, and GBP, with customers receiving the mid-market rate and no additional markups. The integration of Wise's API is expected to improve transaction speed and transparency, with 63% of Wise's payments completed in under 20 seconds. Samir Subberwal from Standard Chartered emphasized the commitment to delivering exceptional banking experiences through this partnership. Wise's managing director Steve Naudé noted that this collaboration signifies a shift in financial institutions’ approach to international payments, aiming for frictionless experiences. The partnership is set to expand the number of currencies and markets offered in the future.
