Health Systems, Community Drives Address Diaper Need Across Regions

In response to the growing need for diapers among families, several initiatives are underway in Wisconsin and beyond. UW Health has started a diaper needs assessment during postpartum visits, providing immediate support to mothers in need, while SSM Health has also implemented screenings to identify financial insecurity. The 5th Annual Diaper Drive, organized by WMTV in partnership with the Village Diaper Bank, aims to collect over 1.1 million diapers to support families, with matching donations available on February 27. Additionally, the Care Clinic in Marquette, Michigan, is hosting a diaper drive competition among local churches to encourage community contributions. Meanwhile, in Haiti, the Diaper Brigade is addressing the critical need for cloth diapers for malnourished children at a local care center, highlighting the universal challenge of diaper accessibility. These efforts reflect a growing recognition of the importance of diapers as essential items for family wellbeing.
