British Tourist Dies at Cyprus Beach Resort

A 62-year-old British tourist tragically died while swimming at a beach in Peyia, Cyprus, after disappearing from sight. Other beachgoers pulled him from the water and attempted CPR, but he was later pronounced dead at Paphos General Hospital. The cause of death is yet to be determined pending a mandatory autopsy. It remains unclear if he was swimming alone or with companions. This incident follows the recent drowning of an 87-year-old man in nearby Coral Bay, highlighting safety concerns in the area, which is known for its rocky coastline. Peyia is a popular tourist destination, particularly for British visitors, located approximately four miles north of Paphos.
