Katy Marchant Hospitalized After Cycling Crash

Team GB cyclist Katy Marchant was hospitalized after a severe crash during the UCI Track Champions League at Lee Valley Velodrome in London, where she collided with German competitor Alessa-Catriona Propster, sending both riders over the safety barrier and into the crowd. Marchant, who recently won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has suffered a broken forearm and remains in stable condition, while Propster was treated on-site and was able to walk shortly after the incident. The crash prompted immediate medical response for Marchant and four spectators, all of whom received treatment for minor injuries.
